MINT-Hep is a multidisciplinary team dedicated to advancing the understanding, diagnosis, and treatment of liver diseases and cancers. The members of MINT-Hep come from all the specialties involved in patient care (hepatologists, pathologists, radiologists, nuclear medicine specialists, biologists, and surgeons) and research (molecular biologists and data scientists). We aim to address complex challenges in hepatology and liver oncology through innovative, data-driven techniques.
We develop multi-omics approaches to uncover the biological and molecular mechanisms that underlie liver diseases and cancers, with a focus on inter- and intra patient heterogeneity. We believe that the combination of different know-how and technologies is key to identify novel biomarkers and therapeutic targets.
Our team also has a recognized expertise in artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning tools to analyze large-scale datasets, discover hidden patterns, and ultimately predict patient outcomes. Through collaboration across disciplines and the integration of cutting-edge technologies, our mission is to contribute to transformative discoveries that will shape the future of liver disease and cancer research and treatment.
